Shabby Chic and Rustic Porch Swings

It's an Old Porch Swing Afternoon

Nothing is quite as inviting on a warm evening as a front porch swing. Thinking back to my childhood I can remember many an afternoon curled up comfortably, as I paged through my favorite magazines and books.

Though I loved that old porch swing, it was just your plain, basic wooden swing, nothing at all like these beauties...

Sweet Melanie used an old quilt with a beautiful rose motif and made pink cozies to cover the chains. Don't you think she did a splendid job? Click the image below to see the rest of her gorgeous porch.

How cute is this porch swing upcycled from an old baby crib? And that color? Gorgeous! Since some parents are very sentimental when it comes to their baby's used items, this is a wonderful idea to hold on to those precious memories.

The last two, although a bit more rustic, are both gorgeous nonetheless.

First is a porch swing made from a vintage door. Very charming.

And last we have this treasure - a rustic swing that Sarah from Little Vintage Nest found at a shop called Junque in the Trunk in Waco, Texas. You can see all the gorgeous photos and read more about Sarah's trip by clicking the image below.
